1. Overview
This page explains how to delete your Jamtab account, how to delete specific content
without closing your account, what happens after a request, and what Jamtab retains.
It applies to the Jamtab website and the Jamtab mobile applications for iOS and Android.
2. Data Associated With Your Account
Depending on how you use the Services, an account may be associated with:
- Account information: your name or display name, email address, and account identifier.
- Sign-in information: a password, or a link to your Google or Apple account if you signed in with one of those.
- User Content: tablature and notation you created, synchronization timing data, uploaded videos, descriptive metadata, comments, and profile information.
- Activity information: likes, favorites, follows, playback history, and similar in-app activity.
- Subscription information: your subscription status and history, if you have subscribed to Jam Pass.
- Technical information: device identifiers, crash reports, and diagnostic logs.
3. Request Deletion
Sign in to submit a deletion request directly.
If you cannot sign in, email
admin@jamtab.com
with the subject line Account Deletion Request from the email address
registered to your account so that we can verify it.
4. Deleting Specific Content Without Closing Your Account
You do not have to close your account to remove individual items. Choose
Specific content only in the form above, or email
admin@jamtab.com
with the subject line Content Deletion Request and identify the items
you want removed.
5. What Happens After Your Request
After we receive and verify a request, we will:
- Confirm that the request came from the account holder.
- Delete the account and its associated data, or the specific content identified, within 30 days.
- Email you when the deletion is complete.
Deletion is permanent. Content you published, including tablature, synchronization data,
and uploaded videos, is removed from the Services and cannot be restored.
6. What Jamtab Retains
Some information is retained after an account is deleted, either because law requires it
or because it no longer identifies you:
- Transaction records. Records of subscription payments are retained as required for tax and accounting purposes.
- Copyright records. Where content was the subject of a copyright notice or counter-notification, the associated records are retained in accordance with our Copyright / DMCA Policy.
- Security and abuse records. Limited records are retained where necessary to prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, or resolve a dispute.
- Backups. Deleted data may persist in routine system backups for a limited period before those backups are cycled out.
- Aggregated information. Information that has been aggregated or de-identified, and that can no longer be linked to you, may be retained.
7. Third-Party Services
Deleting your Jamtab account does not delete data held by third-party services you used
alongside Jamtab. In particular:
- If you signed in with Google or Apple, your account with that provider is unaffected. You can revoke Jamtab's access from your Google or Apple account settings.
- Payment records held by our payment processor are governed by that processor's own retention practices.
- Playback in the mobile applications is provided by Apple Music or YouTube using your own account with those services. Your history and settings with those services are governed by their policies, not by this one.
