A quick guide to the controls. The tab scrolls in time with the music so you can play along.
Audio Bar (bottom)
- Play / Pause
- Start and stop the song. The tab follows along as the audio plays.
- Fast Backward / Fast Forward
- Skip back or jump ahead through the song.
- Restart
- Jump back to the beginning and start over.
- Settings (gear)
- Show or hide the toolbar controls above the tab.
Navigation
- Section
- Jump straight to any part of the song — Intro, Verse, Chorus, Bridge — matching the colored section bar.
- Speed
- Slow the song down (e.g. 50%) to learn a tricky part, or bring it back up. 100% is the original tempo.
Play Type
- Default
- Click anywhere on the tab to move the playback marker to that spot.
- Sequence
- Isolate a single sequence and focus on it while the rest of the tab stays still.
- Loop
- Repeat a chosen section over and over — perfect for drilling one passage until it sticks.
Display
- Drag Canvas (Active / Inactive)
- When Active, click and drag the tab aside to get a clearer view of the video underneath. When Inactive, the tab stays locked in place during playback.
- Canvas Opacity
- Keep the tab background Opaque for full contrast, or choose a color tint to make it semi-transparent over the backdrop.
- Font Size
- Make the tab numbers and labels larger or smaller for easier reading.
- Chords (Shown / Hidden)
- Show or hide the Chord Shapes panel with finger positions for each chord in the song. Click a Chord Shape to hear it play.
- Screen Mode (Min / Max)
- Switch to Max for a full-screen, distraction-free practice view — and back to Min for the standard layout.
Tuning
- String headers (left side)
- The letters down the left show this song's tuning: D-A-D-g. Tune your instrument to match before you start.
Tip: When learning a new song, slow the Speed down, turn on Chords, and use Sequence or Loop to drill the hard parts.
